Thanks for stopping by! I’m MaryJane Bembenek, founder and owner of Everyday Nutrition. As a licensed nutritionist (MS, CNS, LN) with a thriving practice in Mt. Airy, Maryland, I absolutely love teaching people about the life-changing benefits that come from eating a whole foods based diet.

Everyday I get to help my clients feel and look better than they’ve ever imagined possible through my one-on-one nutrition consultations, grocery store tours, and kitchen detoxes. Being a nutritionist isn’t just a passion of mine, it’s my life.

But my life hasn’t always been sunshine and rainbows. For most of my adult life, I was a misinformed vegetarian, primarily eating cheese and refined carbohydrates. My regular binges on pasta and refined foods were doing nothing for my health. I was literally programming my cells for disease.

That’s when it began to click for me

I finally began to understand the negative impacts those behaviors and misconceptions were having in my life soon after I began the Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health at Maryland University of Integrative Health.

blueberries and oatmeal I immersed myself in learning about all of ways that the nutrients in foods we eat affect genetic expression in our cells. By shifting the way we eat we can practically reset our genes and avoid many of the chronic conditions and illnesses commonly accepted as mere “parts of growing old.”

Through my studies and experiences as a practitioner, I’ve also cultivated an innate understanding of and respect for the interrelated social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural roles that food plays in our lives.
